ROCKVILLE, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– On July 29th the New York Times reported that the US Administration has cancelled its nuclear weapon detection program for port scanning of cargo containers due to ineffectiveness and false positive alerts. GateKeeper USA’s (OTC: GTKP.PK) CAMS device (Container Automated Monitoring System) is the ready solution to fill the void created by the halted A.S.P. program, install effective automatic screening of cargo containers, facilitate efficient supply chain transport, alleviate cargo traffic congestion through CSI compliant ports, and ensure compliance with Public Law and the CSI.

The recent announcement by the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office of DHS that their ongoing program of equipping ports across the country with Advanced Spectroscopic Portal monitors is being discontinued will render compliance with Public Law 110-53 virtually impossible. PL 110-53 mandates inspection and confirmation of safety of contents of all containers shipped into the United States beginning March, 2012. Delaying that mandate raises the risk of a non-compliant cargo container entering the supply chain, leading to a potentially catastrophic disruption of commerce and places at-risk, public safety and critical infrastructures.

GateKeeper USA has previously announced 3rd party validation of the superior detection capabilities of its proprietary CAMS for CBRNE [Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive], which demonstrated that the technology inherent in its CAMS device exceeds the requirements set forth in the law, and confirms that the false-positive problem affecting competing devices currently being implemented is not an issue for CAMS. Additionally, CAMS has features not available with any other device, including video and GPS real time monitoring and detection of spoilage in perishable cargo, which are particularly appealing to large scale shippers (retailers) with a need to track in excess of one million containers each. Adoption of this technology by such shippers will serve to increase efficiency and security throughout the entire supply chain on a worldwide basis.

As GateKeeper’s approach to compliance with PL 110-53, the Rotterdam Rules and the Safe Port Act can be compared to how vehicular security safety rules are enforced, the use of CAMS in containers can potentially save shippers thousands of dollars annually in port delays, insurance liability, and re-routing costs for containers denied unloading privileges due to non-compliance. Additionally, CAMS can help eliminate a significant portion of the financial and manpower burden on the Federal Government to conduct physical scans, since CAMS creates electronic manifest and security data scan updates that are sent to the destination port’s Portmaster in real time, well in advance of the ship’s arrival. In this manner, any WMD threat can be alerted and dealt with before the ship has arrived. This protocol keeps any host country’s harbors safer than the riskier method of scanning containers already on the nation’s waters and soil.

The International Operations Center for Children (IOCC) announced today that it has entered into an alliance with GateKeeper USA Inc., who has developed an automated device that will soon be available for all shipping containers. This technology will act as a tremendous deterrent for traffickers who use freight shipping as a method to transit humans for various forms of exploitation.

The CAMS (Container Automated Monitoring System) device is equipped with Biometrics and other sensors that provide immediate recognition of a human presence. That, coupled with CAMS’ ability to detect water, food, traces of light, hull ventilation breaches, narcotics and other related items that are present in human trafficking activities, will be a viable tool on the war on trafficking.

Note: Drugs, Arms and Human Trafficking are all inextricably linked to providing funds for terror organizations worldwide. Due to the nature of organized crime, the IOCC believes that more needs to be done to curtail Human trafficking.

James W. Wishart, Gatekeeper’s CEO says:
“We are pleased and honored to have the opportunity to assist the IOCC and other alliance members in this fight against Human Trafficking. GTKP is prepared to do its part to insure that this happens.”

In SE Asia alone, there are at least 200-225,000 trafficked annually, and of that number, 30,000 women and children are estimated to arrive in the USA. Human trafficking is a highly profitable illegal business in which people are coerced or tricked into traveling far from their homes to work for little or no money. These modern day slaves are disproportionately women and children who are forced to work as hard laborers, soldiers, domestic servants, and all too often, as prostitutes.

It is vital that the global community develops the political unrest to address the issue of human trafficking from a centralized global perspective.

Christian Elliott President of the IOCC says:
“The introduction of this new technology will allow us to curtail one of the oldest transatlantic routes traffickers exploit everyday. We need to make it as difficult as possible for Traffickers by creating deterrents and effective barriers, forcing traffickers to be exposed.”

The data provided by Gatekeeper is available in real time, improving the overall efficiency of the alliance directly from sea bound vessels. It will literally mean that if human cargo are found on any vessel, it can be isolated and contained before it leaves the dock and/or intercepted should cargo be introduced en route.

The IOCC is seeking to unite the global fraternity of NGO’s, local and international intelligence agencies to better equip the enforcement of our transatlantic laws. The CAMS device will provide the real-time data to be used as information that could lead to valuable intelligence. In order to effectively fight organized criminal and terrorist groups, the routes used to transport “supplies” must be investigated and shut down by integrating task forces and law enforcement agencies worldwide and by utilizing technologies such as the Gatekeeper CAMS device.

ROCKVILLE, MD, April 1, 2011 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (GTKP.PK), announced today that ratification of the Rotterdam Rules should encourage the use of Container Security Devices (CSD).

In a recently published article on 3/31/2011, from The Maritime Executive, Dr. James Giermanski states “…the Rotterdam Rules should encourage vessel carriers to use some form of container security device (CSD) or suggest to their shipper-customers to use CSDs that will provide the identity of an accountable agent at stuffing who verifies cargo and quantity, potentially limiting or mitigating the vessel carriers legal responsibility and providing an increased degree of security to comply with government needs and mandates.” Dr. Giermanski also goes on to state, “More than that, these Rules should have a positive impact on this nation’s security by enhancing our existing supply chain security programs and by encouraging the use of container security systems that augment the Rules by verifying the cargo, tracking the container’s movement, detecting and reporting unauthorized access and reporting any violation of the cargo movement’s integrity.”

“This is excellent news for GateKeeper USA. As we prepare for the commercial launch of our Advanced Container Security Device (ACSD) the CAMS device, the ratification of the Rotterdam Rules by the US Senate, will help to pave the way for market entry. As implementation and utilization of the CAMS device can help to insure compliance in accordance with the Rotterdam Rules.” stated John Leontakianakos, Sr. Vice President.

The United States is a signatory to the Rotterdam Rules and a timely and expedited ratification by the US Senate is expected.

ROCKVILLE, MD, March 28, 2011 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (GTKP.PK), announced today that its Container Automated Monitoring System “CAMS” devices could assure that fish, vegetables, dairy products, food products and other items shipped in cargo containers are safe and free of contamination from radiation and other chemical poisons. We are very pleased to have a product which can address, on a worldwide basis, the current adverse and unsafe environment resulting from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Our thoughts are with the people of Japan as they recover from this disaster. As Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant reactors continue leaking radiation into the atmosphere and into surrounding oceans, the risk of radiation contamination from marine and marine-derived food sources increases not only in the seas surrounding Japan, but internationally. The effects of this tragedy are already washing up on beaches in the USA. According to sources in Oregon, post – tsunami wind and ocean currents have deposited on Newport Beach, what appear to be Japan tsunami debris. Beach contamination from dead and radioactive sea life could linger for years in the food supply chain and where and when the radiation will end up is not yet predictable as its detection cannot be precise due to wind and ocean currents that can and will change.

Current monitoring systems for Shipping Containers are inadequate for to protecting the public from low level radiation, contaminated and/or toxic foods and products. GateKeeper USA’s CAMS, however, when installed in shipping containers, will detect hazardous contaminants and radiation even at low levels, with real time reporting.

Following the installation of CAMS devices on shipping containers – Shippers, Vendors, Purchasers, and Government Regulators would be immediately notified when radiation and hazardous contaminants are present in products shipped, prior to their arrival in the USA. As previously announced, CAMS have demonstrated and exceeded criteria set forth by The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under the original Broad Agency Announcement issued by the HSARPA for an Advanced Container Security Device, (ACSD) among others, and have exceeded provisions as mandated in the 9/11 bill for seaport security as well as Secure Freight Initiative (SFI) under Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which manages the Container Security Initiative (CSI).

ROCKVILLE, MD, November 2, 2010 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (GTKP.PK), previously announced its CAMS (Container Automated Monitoring System) device has the ability to detect and alert authorities to PETN presence. Had CAMS been deployed, PETN would have been discovered before the packages departed from Yemen.

The technology incorporated within GateKeeper’s CAMS devices, has the ability to detect not only PETN, but also all known WMD’s currently in the Department of Homeland Security database. CAMS can scan 24/7 and transmit alerts sensing the presence of as little as nanogram levels of trace material. Since CAMS technology starts to scan immediately even before any cargo container is sealed, an alert for PETN and other dangerous substances, would have been detected and the proper authorities alerted, within moments, thus allowing ample time for those authorities to prevent the flight originating from Yemen.

CAMS technology is 100% American conceived, developed and manufactured, and is currently licensed on an exclusive basis to Gatekeeper USA to target the $160 Billion maritime container security sector. “As over 90% of commercial goods are delivered to the US via maritime containers, the security threat to the United States that goes undetected would be reduced significantly with the use of CAMS and the threat immediately reported, should violent extremists choose to utilize maritime channels for delivery of hazardous goods to our shores. This Yemen event further solidifies the need for the immediate implementation of CAMS devices within our supply chain,” stated James W. Wishart, CEO of GateKeeper USA.

About GateKeeper USA, Inc.
GateKeeper USA, located in Rockville, Maryland, is engaged in the maritime container industry as it relates to container security and protection from potential terrorist attacks.

ROCKVILLE, MD, August 3, 2010 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that it has successfully completed a Proof of Concept (POC) Demonstration of various components to be included in the Container Automated Monitoring System (CAMS®). The POC Demonstration was conducted as a filed test, as requested by Phoenix Partners, LLC (Phoenix).

“We are by nature careful when evaluating any new technology. We are equally selective about the quality of the mandates that we undertake. With this in mind, I lead our due diligence efforts on behalf of Phoenix. The POC met specific criteria as set forth by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with respect to container security. GateKeeper met both the DHS criteria, and our expectations by demonstrating functionality surpassing them each three fold,” stated Lee Davis, Managing Director of Phoenix Partners LLC.

The POC was conducted in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida under the auspices of Phoenix, a member of Florida’s First Responder Community, as well as other members of the Investment Banking community.

“This singular event, in a beta configuration, demonstrates that the current 2012 mandate as set forth within the Container Security Initiative (CSI) and the provision in the 9/11 bill that mandated DHS require foreign seaports to scan 100 percent of U.S. containers for radiation and density is now within our grasp,” stated John Leontakianakos, Senior Vice President of GateKeeper USA.

In essence the POC demonstrated and exceeded criteria set forth by The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under the original Broad Agency Announcement issued by the HSARPA for an Advanced Container Security Device, (ACSD) among others.

“As Mr. Davis stated, the demo not only met, but exceeded provisions as mandated in the 9/11 bill for seaport security as well as Secure Freight Initiative (SFI) under Customs and Border Protection (CBP) which manages the Container Security Initiative (CSI). We are very pleased to have the opportunity to demonstrate our team’s capabilities, are very satisfied with the results and look forward to bringing CAMS® to market. For and on behalf of our technology partner CSL, Ltd., wish to thank those who participated
and were in attendance,” stated Mr. Leontakianakos

ROCKVILLE, MD, July 28, 2010 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that it has been granted an exclusive worldwide 99 year license from an affiliate of Phoenix Partners LLC (Phoenix) for the fabrication of Basalt Fiber through a proprietary process in the manufacturing of cargo and shipping containers.

The proprietary process creates Basalt Fiber, which is then converted into a composite as a substance creating a Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) that can generate finished material at a cost that is significantly less than steel.

The utilization of BFRP in the production of shipping containers will result in a container that is significantly lighter, has better insulating qualities, is 4 times stronger, and has a lifespan 5 times greater than that of conventional steel containers, that can be offered at a lower price. Smart Box Ventures, LLC a newly formed subsidiary, will implement the BFRP container business.

“The synergies created by combining this paradigm shifting technology with our existing cargo security platforms, are extremely compelling. We welcome the opportunity to work closely with the Phoenix affiliate on this transaction, as well as Phoenix, as in addition to its merchant banking, corporate and business development responsibilities, will proactively shepherd the activities of SmartBox Ventures, LLC to the global markets.” Stated James W.
