ROCKVILLE, MD, August 3, 2010 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that it has successfully completed a Proof of Concept (POC) Demonstration of various components to be included in the Container Automated Monitoring System (CAMS®). The POC Demonstration was conducted as a filed test, as requested by Phoenix Partners, LLC (Phoenix).

“We are by nature careful when evaluating any new technology. We are equally selective about the quality of the mandates that we undertake. With this in mind, I lead our due diligence efforts on behalf of Phoenix. The POC met specific criteria as set forth by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with respect to container security. GateKeeper met both the DHS criteria, and our expectations by demonstrating functionality surpassing them each three fold,” stated Lee Davis, Managing Director of Phoenix Partners LLC.

The POC was conducted in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida under the auspices of Phoenix, a member of Florida’s First Responder Community, as well as other members of the Investment Banking community.

“This singular event, in a beta configuration, demonstrates that the current 2012 mandate as set forth within the Container Security Initiative (CSI) and the provision in the 9/11 bill that mandated DHS require foreign seaports to scan 100 percent of U.S. containers for radiation and density is now within our grasp,” stated John Leontakianakos, Senior Vice President of GateKeeper USA.

In essence the POC demonstrated and exceeded criteria set forth by The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under the original Broad Agency Announcement issued by the HSARPA for an Advanced Container Security Device, (ACSD) among others.

“As Mr. Davis stated, the demo not only met, but exceeded provisions as mandated in the 9/11 bill for seaport security as well as Secure Freight Initiative (SFI) under Customs and Border Protection (CBP) which manages the Container Security Initiative (CSI). We are very pleased to have the opportunity to demonstrate our team’s capabilities, are very satisfied with the results and look forward to bringing CAMS® to market. For and on behalf of our technology partner CSL, Ltd., wish to thank those who participated
and were in attendance,” stated Mr. Leontakianakos

(Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that it has been granted an exclusive worldwide 99 year license from an affiliate of Phoenix Partners LLC (Phoenix) for the fabrication of Basalt Fiber through a proprietary process in the manufacturing of cargo and shipping containers.

The proprietary process creates Basalt Fiber, which is then converted into a composite as a substance creating a Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) that can generate finished material at a cost that is significantly less than steel.

The utilization of BFRP in the production of shipping containers will result in a container that is significantly lighter, has better insulating qualities, is 4 times stronger, and has a lifespan 5 times greater than that of conventional steel containers, that can be offered at a lower price. Smart Box Ventures, LLC a newly formed subsidiary, will implement the BFRP container business.

“The synergies created by combining this paradigm shifting technology with our existing cargo security platforms, are extremely compelling. We welcome the opportunity to work closely with the Phoenix affiliate on this transaction, as well as Phoenix, as in addition to its merchant banking, corporate and business development responsibilities, will proactively shepherd the activities of SmartBox Ventures, LLC to the global markets.” Stated James W.

It appears that Washington DC is beginning to get serious about the possible threat posed by the lack of screening of maritime containers.

Recently Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) who has been seeking improved security procedures to better protect against biological and chemical threats, reportedly, said it is “crucial we determine which pathways into America pose the highest risk of biological and chemical weapons, release and use the most cutting edge, proven technologies for interdiction.”

Former Congressman Bilirakis (R-FL) also shares these sentiments and recently stated that, “maritime security is a very real concern and escalating problem. Both the Congress and Senate need to prioritize their efforts to address this issue and find a viable solution for what are, apparent gaps in Homeland Security. Billions of dollars of taxpayer funds have already been spent on failed efforts and technology that do not provide a solution. Congress needs to get behind cutting edge technologies that can improve National Security.”

One of the first to publicly speak out on the matter was Senator Frank R.Lautenberg (D-NJ). Senator Lautenberg had brought forth a bill to protect seaports by screening 100 percent of all cargo containers entering the United States. This, in response to and after the Bush Administration admitted to Senator Lautenberg that it will miss a deadline to screen 100 percent of the nation’s cargo for radiological and nuclear weapons. Their bill would, for the first time, create minimum-security standards for all containers entering the United States. “If we can screen every passenger who boards an airplane, we can screen every cargo container that enters our ports,” said Senator Lautenberg. “Screening only one container out of twenty is a recipe for disaster. My amendment will protect our nation by ensuring that each and every container is scanned before it even leaves its port of origin.”

“It’s a simple expression of frustration to a not so simple problem,” stated James Wishart, President of GateKeeper USA. ”While it is apparent that billions of dollars have been spent, what’s not obvious is the protection that amount of money should have bought. “There are technology and solutions that exist now. Getting someone in Washington DC to pay attention seems to be the problem.” continued Mr. Wishart. CAMS (Container Automated Monitoring System) offered by GateKeeper USA, Inc., offers real solutions to real problems that continue to concern America and its allies.

GateKeeper USA’s management plans to meet with several members of the Senate and Congress, in the weeks to come, in order to discuss a viable solution that can insure 100% screening of all cargo containers entering the United States. The Honorable Mr. Bilirakis is assisting the management in these efforts in an advisory capacity to GateKeeper USA.

ROCKVILLE, MD, January 12, 2010 – GateKeeper USA, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that it is unaffected by the recent shortage of Helium 3. It appears that GateKeeper USA’s competitors are facing other new hurdles. It was recently reported by the New York Times that a program to detect plutonium and uranium in US ports has stalled because the US has run out of Helium 3. Helium 3 is a light non-radioactive isotope of helium that is formed when tritium decays. Helium 3 is a crucial raw material for the screening machines that were to be utilized in shipping ports for the detection of nuclear weapons.

“The shortage of Helium 3 does not have any effect on GateKeeper USA’s CAMS devices ability to detect radiation, as GateKeeper USA is not reliant on this antiquated method of detection,” stated John Leontakianakos, Senior Vice President of GateKeeper USA.

(Pink Sheets: GTKP), announced today that its Advanced Container Security Device (ACSD) commercially known as the CAMS device has the ability to detect PETN. “The explosive that nearly brought down Northwest Airlines flight 253 is extremely powerful… A little more than 100g of PETN could destroy a car.” “The device allegedly used by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab involved a” “plastic container” “reportedly, with 80g of PETN” according to guardian.co.uk. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/dec/27/petn-pentaerythritol-trinitrate-explosive)

“This is the same substance used by Richard Reid, the ‘shoe bomber’ in 2001 on a flight to Miami. In August, Al-Qaida attempted to assassinate Saudi Arabia’s counter terrorism chief, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef with a PETN-based explosive device,” stated Mr. Richard Sowden, Director of Technology for CSL, LLC, GateKeeper USA’s strategic partner.

The technology incorporated within GateKeeper USA’s CAMS device is able to detect PETN in minute’ trace quantities, utilizing a much smaller footprint and offering superior detection capabilities to the failed “puffer machines” and security swabs used to look for trace amounts of certain substances. The CAMS technology is currently being marketed by GateKeeper USA in the maritime security sector to detect this and other dangerous and illegal substances that may be aimed at hurting U.S. and International concerns worldwide.

An MIT’s Technology Review article (RFID’s Security Problem, January/February 2009) earlier this year raises a point that has been discussed by many senior executives in the industry. Despite all of the hype and publicity, just how secure is the RFID technology that is supposed to be safeguarding, cargo being transported through our ports and cities?

”While new (RFID) technology seems likely to” “become a fiasco if officials don’t pay attention to the work of hackers and security researchers. These people try to expose weaknesses before they can be exploited maliciously. It’s much less painful to swallow the news from them than to wait until a problem becomes embarrassing — or devastating.”

In a paper co-authored with staff at the University of Washington and internet security firm RSA, the team detailed how the RFID chips can be cloned from distances of up to 50 metres. They also found that a key anti-cloning technique recommended by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had not been used on the tags.

Hackers can use an ordinary laptop computer to clone information on RFID tags and even “smart cards” and reprogram them.

The problem is a serious one, the conclusion that a single RFID based one approach is the sole solution is, in almost every case, flawed. The solution must involve a new set of technologies with enhanced, well thought out security protocols.
